As I am a high school teacher, I decided I should show some school spirit and go to my school's first football game of the season last night. In recent years our team hasn't been all that good, but we have a new coach this year, so I thought I'd check out how they would do. Well, they got their butts kicked. When my girlfriend and I left at the beginning of the fourth quarter, we were losing 6 to 31 and the opponent must have scored another touchdown after we left because the final score was 6 to 38. While our football team sucks, our award-winning marching band is really good. They put on a great halftime show, and seeing the band perform is probably the best reason to go to the game anyway.
